Spartan Football Play-calling

The Spartans started off with the ball on the the Northwestern 25 in over-time, so you can get 2 first downs (In the 41-48 OT loss to Northwestern).

Michigan State had been running all over Northwestern the whole game, and just like last week did not run the ball once in the clutch. Four straight shots into the endzone, all incomplete. Granted, Brian Hoyer didn't throw well at all. Why don't you run it at least once with Javon Ringer ... at least once when you know your quarter back isn't playing well?

Any comments about Mark Dantonio's play calling?

Um - the first call to tightend to Kellin Davis was a good call. He was wide open. It was just a bad throw.

But I agree with you on the last 3. We had 3 downs left to get a 1st down.

Why put the game on the quarterback when he hasn't been our go-to guy all year?

It was a bad day MSU (you idiots) lost and some idiot got in the way of my bullet.

It's a simple concept. When you hunt you wear something bright and noticeable. Like a bright orange hat. You don't wear all camouflage. For heaven's sake, you might as well dress like a deer if you're going to skip out on the orange. Anyway, I'm out in my favorite deer spot and I see one come scampering through the woods. Big buck, about ten points.

I sight him as he sees me. He starts to scamper off and I take a shot. But as I kept my aim and pulled the trigger, something ended up between us.

Well not really something... actually it was "someone." Anyway, long story short, I hope that bullet wound in his butt takes a really long time to heal, and I hope my lawyer is better this time than he was that time my cousin Joe Bob was arrested for indecent exposure.

Gosh darn Spartans ... what the h*ll were you thinkin?

Anyone else confused as to why we ran for about 300 yards on Saturday, but refused to run the ball even once in overtime? Arrogance or stupidity? Unbelieveable…today is going to be a tough day.

On a hot day when our O-line is pushing thier D-line around, I wish we had ran little more in the second half.

I realize loosing number 65 has something to do with change in play calling but Masters was supposed to be a good center. I really detest indulging in the past events because its over and done but sometimes when things are working why not continue until it is stopped working?

Our play selections in crucial situations should be based upon what has benn effective through the game rather than trying to call a play in hope of trying to out guess an opponents defense scheme.
